Indian Nationals are invited for a walk-in-interview for the award of Research Associates (RA) and Junior Research Fellows (JRF) to work at Defence Laboratory, Jodhpur (Rajasthan), a material cluster laboratory of DRDO.

Fellowship Emoluments:

• RA: Rs. 67,000/- p.m. & Duration: 2 years
• JRF: Rs. 37,000/- p.m. & Duration: 2 years (may be extended further and upgraded to SRF as per rules)

Interview Venue: Defence Laboratory, Dr. DS Kothari Marg, Ratanada Palace, Ratanada, Jodhpur-342 011 (Rajasthan)

Fellowship Details:

1. Research Associate (RA) – Electronics
   • Number of Fellowships: 01
   • Qualification: Ph.D. in Electronics or 3 years of research, teaching, and design & development experience after ME/M.Tech in Electronics with at least one research paper in an SCI Journal.
   • Date of Interview: 18-06-2024
2. Research Associate (RA) – Physics
   • Number of Fellowships: 02
   • Qualification: Ph.D. in Physics or 3 years of research, teaching, and design & development experience after post-graduate degree (M.Sc or equivalent) in Physics with at least one research paper in an SCI Journal.
   • Date of Interview: 18-06-2024
3. Research Associate (RA) – Chemistry
   • Number of Fellowships: 01
   • Qualification: Ph.D. in Chemistry or 3 years of research, teaching, and design & development experience after post-graduate degree (M.Sc or equivalent) in Chemistry with at least one research paper in an SCI Journal.
   • Date of Interview: 18-06-2024
4. Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) – Electronics
   • Number of Fellowships: 04
   • Qualification: Graduate degree in professional course (B.E./B. Tech.) in Electronics/Electronics & Communication in first division with NET/GATE qualification, or Post-graduate (M.E./M. Tech.) degrees in professional courses in Electronics/Electronics & Communication in first division both at graduate and post-graduate level.
   • Date of Interview: 19-06-2024
5. Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) – Chemistry/Chemical/Material Science
   • Number of Fellowships: 02
   • Qualification:
     • Post-graduate degree (M.Sc. or equivalent) in Chemistry with first division and NET qualification, or
     • Graduate degree in professional course (B.E./B. Tech.) in Chemical Engineering/Material Science/Polymer Science/Industrial Chemistry/Nanotechnology in first division with NET/GATE qualification, or
     • Post-graduate in Professional course (M.E./M. Tech.) in Chemical Engineering/Material Science/Industrial Chemistry/Nanotechnology in first division, both at graduate and post-graduate level.

6. Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) – Physics
   • Number of Fellowships: 03
   • Qualification: Post-graduate degree (M.Sc. or equivalent) in Physics with first division and NET qualification.

7. Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) – Mechanical
   • Number of Fellowships: 01
   • Qualification: Graduate degree in professional course (B.E./B. Tech.) in Mechanical in first division with NET/GATE qualification, or Post-graduate (M.E./M. Tech.) degrees in professional courses in Mechanical in first division both at graduate and post-graduate level.
   • Date of Interview: 21-06-2024

General Conditions:

• Mode of Selection: Walk-in-interview at Defence Laboratory, Jodhpur, Rajasthan at 10:00 Hrs on the interview dates mentioned above.
• Age Limit: Maximum age 35 years for RA and 28 years for JRF as on the date of interview. Age relaxation for SC/ST/PH (5 years) and OBC (3 years).
• Documents Required: Original certificates/testimonials related to age, educational qualification, and experience. Submit photocopies and one set of self-attested copies of all degrees/academic qualification certificates/mark sheets/experience certificates. Produce published research papers and thesis at the time of interview, if applicable.
• Other Information:
  • Fellowship does not confer any right for absorption in DRDO.
  • Fellowship may be terminated at any time with prior notice of one month. Fellows may resign with prior notice of one month.
  • Defence Laboratory, Jodhpur reserves the right to amend/modify or summarily cancel this advertisement.
