Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) is seeking a dynamic and strategic professional for the position of Manager – Sector Analysis (Vinyls) in our Petrochemicals division. Collect and Interpret Intelligence:
- Work closely with Reliance Industries’ corporate strategy & planning teams, businesses, and relevant functions to gather competitive intelligence requirements (Key Intelligence Topics).
- Develop and continuously update long-term petrochemicals industry intelligence by systematically capturing and analyzing critical business information from publicly available sources and primary research.
- Communicate implications and issues effectively to Reliance Industries management.
Commodity Analysis:
- Investigate, monitor, analyze, and forecast global market and price drivers and trends.
- Develop a long-term perspective on major demand-side and supply-side trends across the petrochemicals industry.
- Maintain ongoing dialogue with the business units at Reliance Industries to share information and analyses, ensuring consistent information usage.
Policy Analysis:
- Understand policy issues and formations in domestic and global contexts to proactively enhance Reliance Industries’ interests.
Economic Analysis:
- Understand long-term consumer trends, emerging applications, technologies, and consumption patterns within the petrochemicals sector.
Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis of selected downstream petrochemical industries to understand margins and profitability.
Education Requirements:
- B.E. / B. Tech in Chemical, Polymer, Textile, or Mechanical Engineering.
- MBA or Postgraduate degree in Economics.
Experience Requirements:
- 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in sector analysis within the petrochemicals industry.
Skills and Competencies:
Core Domain Competencies:
- Deep product knowledge within the petrochemicals sector.
Role-specific Competencies:
- Expertise in linear programming and product margin economics.
- Understanding of Net Sales Realization (NSR) structure and product pricing.
- Proficiency in product costing and relevant cost parameters.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in operational research and modeling techniques.
